I got remote outlets and the hook is not recognizing the remote. It does recognize other remotes. remote is from outlets in which one can assign the number on the remote to an outlet.
I have the same issue and nobody help me!
I have the same problem. Got my Hook two days ago and immediately tried it. WiFi setup worked just fine and my Hook is breathing cyan. However, I cannot pair my remote buttons with Hook. When I am in “Add Device” screen of the remote I do exactly as it says (“Bring the remote very close to Hook and press a button on the remote to pair it with Hook”) but the remote is simply not recognized. There is no change in the app, nor is there a change in LED color, i.e., the LED does not flash white when pressing a button. I tried this several times, restarted Hook, tried again, but to no avail.
I am using a Quigg Globaltronics GT-9000 remote (you can enter Quigg as make/brand and GT-9000 in search field at http://gt-support.de/download.php?l=2). I made sure before ordering Hook that it runs on a frequency of 433.92 Mhz (see https://s3.amazonaws.com/cdn.freshdesk.com/data/helpdesk/attachments/production/9051766224/original/IMG_20180503_220830.jpg?X-Amz-Algorithm=AWS4-HMAC-SHA256&X-Amz-Credential=AKIAJ2JSYZ7O3I4JO6DA%2F20180505%2Fus-east-1%2Fs3%2Faws4_request&X-Amz-Date=20180505T103346Z&X-Amz-Expires=300&X-Amz-Signature=5449166bbf6b04687e1263cc306d89e73fb2e5cc55996912c447bddde59d848d&X-Amz-SignedHeaders=Host&response-content-type=image%2Fjpeg).
Any ideas what else I could try to make it work? Your help would be much appreciated.
Not all devices work with the Hook hub, even if it’s on the 433 MHz range. Unless you’re a developer or some sort, I would stick to only using devices in green on this spreadsheet.
It’s listed on the homepage under FAQ.
